About This Event

Educational reform is only as meaningful as the educators who bring it to life and the youth it empowers. While policies and curricula continue to evolve, their impact depends on educator wellbeing—the foundation that enables trust, adaptability, and meaningful engagement. When educators are nurtured and empowered, they create spaces where young people are recognised as active partners in learning, contributing their voices and ideas to co-creating education. As we mark the International Day of Education and UNESCO’s theme, The Power of Youth in Co-Creating Education, we are reminded that investing in educator wellbeing is essential to unlocking the potential and wellbeing of future generations.

Join us for this discussion as we explore pathways forward—towards an education system shaped by curiosity, compassion, and consciousness for a highly globalised world. This conversation is for decision-makers, aspiring leaders, students, teachers, carers, and parents committed to shaping the future of education together.

“The expansion of yourself is the key to success, and that requires one thing – adapting to the change.”- NaamDeo

The event explores pathways forward—towards an education system shaped by curiosity, compassion, and consciousness, and better equipped for a highly globalised world.
The event will be held on January 24th, from 1:15 PM to 4:00 PM. 📍 Venue: Paul Octave Wiehe Auditorium, University of Mauritius, Reduit.
This event will benefit decision-makers, aspiring leaders, students, teachers, carers, and parents committed to shaping the future of education together.
The event begins with registration and a formal opening, followed by a keynote address and a panel discussion focused on becoming catalysts of change, with opportunities for audience engagement. It then highlights the pressing needs of the moment, including the launch of the Abhyas Educator Wellbeing Program and a guest address. Participants will also be guided through Man Shanti Abhyas (Mind-Peace Practice) – a guided practice for inner calm. The programme concludes with closing reflections, upcoming announcements, and networking.
This is important now because rising teacher attrition and work-related stress reveal deep systemic challenges within education that limit meaningful engagement with young people. Addressing these root causes through collaborative, respectful dialogue and a learning mindset is essential to reimagining education systems where educators are supported and youth are empowered as active partners in co-creating learning that is relevant, resilient, and capable of shaping a more just and sustainable future.
